US filmfest to play Iran well-acclaimed movie

Iranian movie ‘Kupal’ by Kazem Mollaie is to go on screen at Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival in the US.

The competition section of the 4th Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival will host 'Kupal' from Iran.  

With a focus on innovative movie directors, the festival will screen 100+ films this August at its 4th annual event.   

Iran 'Kupal' will compete with the winner of 6 Academy Awards 'La La Land' among others.

‘Kupal’ is an unusual story of a hunter and a taxidermist, named Dr. Ahmad Kupal, who, on the last day of the year, faces an unexpected challenge.

The Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival is a juried competition all about the work of first and second time filmmakers.

The event is scheduled for August 23-26, 2018 in US state of Vermont.
